Originally published in 1935 as a complete suite, three movements from the group were later published in early 1976 (March, Lullaby and Waltz) and renamed 'Three pieces for violin and piano, from Suite op. 6'. Britten also arranged March, Lullaby and Waltz for viola and piano in January 1935.
