Sitwell's text can be found, written out by the composer, among the texts used in Nocturne, op. 60. However, the incomplete composition draft of this song is explicitly for voice and piano, not for the instrumentation of Nocturne (voice and strings). It is possible, though, that the draft was written at about the same time as Nocturne due to Britten's concurrent awareness of the poem.
