Notes

The tune for 'Pray Goody' came from Act I, scene 3 of O'Hara's Midas (see text note) and it was also the 'Fairy dance' in Henry Woodward's pantomime Queen Mab (1705) (Act I, sc. 3 in the 1761 version). The music for this pantomime was attributed to 'The Society of the temple of Apollo', a pseudonym for Charles Burney.
