| Description | Untitled draft. Britten has written a verse from 1 Samuel 2:8 in the margin of the second page along with a tune notated in sol-fa. Britten has retrospectively (c. 1933-4) written '1921' on the front of the manuscript book. However, the handwriting and compositional style suggest a later date of circa 1922. |
